The National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (Divyangjan) (NILD) has been a leading organization in the field of locomotor disability since 1978. Operating under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, NILD is headquartered in Kolkata and has expanded its services across the country. The institute offers a range of training programs at the Certificate, Diploma, Degree, and Postgraduate levels across various disciplines. Additionally, NILD engages in research, develops rehabilitation service models, and provides clinical and therapeutic services.
There are four major institutes offering courses to students in this field:
- National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (Divyangjan), Kolkata
- Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR), Cuttack
- National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD), Chennai
- Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities (PDUNIPPD), New Delhi
Admissions to various Bachelor’s courses for the academic year 2023 at NILD, SVNIRTAR, NIEPMD, and PDUNIPPD are based on merit in the Common Entrance Test (CET 2023). This entrance test is a two-hour (120 minutes) examination consisting of multiple-choice objective questions.
We managed the entire IT backend for CET 2023, including student registrations, center allotment, merit list publication, and SMS alerts to students as instructed by the institutes. After the authorities allocated seats based on merit, students paid their admission fees online through our system.
In April 2023, we successfully executed a national-level eCounselling initiative for NILD. Candidates from across the country used our system to gain admission to the four institutes located in New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bhubaneswar.
Our services encompassed everything from student registration and generation of admit cards to handling the entrance test, eCounselling, and admission processes. This project leveraged our extensive experience in managing online admissions in the states of West Bengal, Assam, and Jharkhand.
